How to Join Midlands Gives Platform

Learn how to become a partner of the Midlands Gives platform.

To participate on the Midlands Gives platform, your nonprofit must be:

  • A 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit organization in good standing with the IRS and in compliance with the registration requirement of the South Carolina Solicitation of Charitable Funds Act.
  • Headquartered or have a branch in one of the following South Carolina counties: Calhoun, Clarendon, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lee, Lexington, Newberry, Orangeburg, Richland, Saluda or Sumter.
  • If you do not have a headquarter or branch in the 11 counties, please use the address on your IRS Determination Letter.
  • Have at least 1 full year of financial history as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization by time or registration.
  • Agree to the Midlands Gives Participation Agreement, including the $10 technology administration fee.

  • Step 2: Submit Eligibility Form
  • Step 3: CCCF Reviews Eligibility Form  (CCCF will review inquiry applications every 30 days.)
  • Step 4: Once Approve, Edit Your Profile. 
  • Step 5: Save and Submit Profile for Review
  • Step 6: CCCF Reviews Profiles
  • Step 7: Registration Complete


Participation for Midlands Gives Day

The deadline to apply for Midlands Gives Day participation is February 28. Please note, any requests (new applications or profile updates) from March 1 to May 30 will not be reviewed until June 1.


Participation for Black Philanthropy Month

The deadline for new organizations to participate in Black Philanthropy Month is June 30. Please note, any requests (new applications or profile updates) from August 1 to August 31 will not be reviewed until after September 1.

  • December 1: Midlands Gives Registration Open | Annual Profile Update Period Opens
  • January 31: Returning Nonprofits Annual Profile Update Period Closes
  • February 28: Last Day for Midlands Gives Day Registration
  • March 31: Last Day to Submit Midlands Gives Day Profile Edits
  • April 1: Midlands Gives Day Early Giving Starts
  • First Tuesday of May: Midlands Gives Day
  • August 1 - 31: Black Philanthropy Month
