What is a Fundraiser?

You have a charitable passion: it could be animal welfare, supporting the arts, volunteering to help the homeless or raising awareness about mental illness. We bet you also have a wonderful network of friends and colleagues in your life too. Midlands Gives Fundraising Pages (formerly Champion Pages) provide you a vehicle to connect your passion and network by creating your own personal campaign to raise money for local nonprofits. You choose the goal, get the word out and become a champion for your cause.

How to create a Fundraiser:

Step 1: Choose an organization to support

Find your favorite nonprofit using the website's search function. From the nonprofit's page, click the "Create a Fundraiser" button.


If you cannot find your favorite nonprofit, they have not registered to participate in Midlands Gives. Check back at a later date or contact the nonprofit to confirm participation.

Step 2: Submit & Create your Fundraiser Login

Don't have a Fundraiser profile? Click "Sign Up" and create your account. Once your account is set, your Fundraiser is automatically published.

Step 3: Personalize your Fundraiser

Use the editing tool to adjust your Fundraiser title, goal, logo and image. Tell us your Fundraiser story!

Step 4: Share your Fundraiser to help your cause!

Fundraisers are only successful when they're shared! Copy your Fundraiser's unique URL to share with family, friends, and other contacts through emails and posts to social media.

Fundraiser FAQs:

  • When can I create a Fundraiser?

    You can create a Fundraiser as soon as your nonprofit registers for Midland Gives! Use the website's search function to find your favorite nonprofit.

  • When can people begin giving to my Fundraiser?

    People can give to your Fundraiser once early giving begins on April 1st.

  • Will I be notified when someone makes a donation to my Fundraiser?

    Yes! You will receive an email when a donation is made to your Fundraiser. The email will include the donor's information unless the donor has chosen to give anonymously.

  • Can I create more than one Fundraiser?

    Yes, but we recommend you choose one or two nonprofits to focus your efforts on.

  • How will the donations I raise through my Fundraiser get to the nonprofit?

    Central Carolina Community Foundation will disperse funds raised from Midlands Gives and distribute it to participating nonprofits after the event.
