Black Philanthropy Month
What is Black Philanthropy Month?
Black Philanthropy Month is a month of celebrating philanthropy in the Midlands and specifically lifting up our regions philanthropists and organizations that benefit black communities.
Observed every August, Central Carolina Community Foundation, along with our African American Philanthropy Committee, recognize and uplift the voices of our region’s nonprofits and donors. Through stories and action-focused communication, we share how philanthropists impact our community with their time, talent, and treasure and how organizations are benefiting Black communities all over the Midlands.
We proudly support Black Philanthropy Month and encourage community members to contribute to one or more nonprofits through the Midlands Gives platform. Donors can use the Midlands Gives year-round platform to support local nonprofits, including 200 that benefit Black communities.
