Across South Carolina, over 1.5 million people live with a disability, and yet, far too often, they are denied the same rights, opportunities, and respect as everyone else. Despite decades of progress, people with disabilities still face barriers to employment, transportation, education, housing, and medical services. These challenges aren’t inevitable as they’re the result of policies, systems, and attitudes that can and must change. Able South Carolina is working hard to create space for all South Carolinians, and I am proud to fundraise for that effort!

We are an organization of people with disabilities leading the charge to: Equip people with disabilities with tools to foster pride and to direct their own lives; Educate the community to challenge stereotypes and eliminate barriers; and Advocate for access, equity, and inclusion at the individual, local, state, and national level.
