Fundraiser Story
One in three South Carolinians has a disability---disability work is important and needed! The work done at Able South Carolina is vital in transforming the lives of individuals with disabilities by championing their rights, independence, and inclusion. As a disability-led organization, Able SC uniquely understands the challenges its community faces and addresses them through advocacy, peer support, and innovative programs that break down systemic barriers. From empowering youth with disabilities to self-advocate, to influencing policy that fosters accessibility and equity, the organization plays a crucial role in reshaping societal attitudes and ensuring that people with disabilities are not just supported, but valued as equal participants in all aspects of life. Their work doesn't just change individual outcomes—it drives cultural change, creating a more inclusive world for everyone.
