Able South Carolina is a Center for Independent Living that provides vital services for the disability community here in South Carolina including Advocacy, Peer Support, proving Information and Referrals, helping individuals stay out of being institutionalized through Transition and Diversion, as well as learn how to be more independent through Independent Living Services. I joined Able SC in April 2024 as an AmeriCorps member and became a fulltime staff member in July of 2024. In my year of being here I have seen and gotten to be a part of the vital and transformative work being done by Able, to help the disability community in South Carolina. Funding is vital for this work to be done and at risk currently. I hope that you would consider donating along with me, to help this amazing organization provide services and support to our disability community here in South Carolina, and be a model for other CIL's to follow suit across the nation.

We are an organization of people with disabilities leading the charge to: Equip people with disabilities with tools to foster pride and to direct their own lives; Educate the community to challenge stereotypes and eliminate barriers; and Advocate for access, equity, and inclusion at the individual, local, state, and national level.
