As a former superintendent and longtime educator, I've seen firsthand the challenges teachers face every day-balancing classroom instruction, supporting students, and partnering with parents to make the best decisions for their child. I also understand the critical need for direct services that help remove barriers to student success.

That's why I proudly serve on the Board of Directors for Communities In Schools of South Carolina (CISSC). For over 30 years, CISSC has been embedded in schools, providing essential, one-on-one support to students who need it most. Their work ensures that every child has the tools, resources, and encouragement to stay in school and succeed in life.

This Midlands Gives Day (May 6th), I'm setting a goal to raise $500 to help sustain and expand these vital programs. Your support will directly impact students, teachers, and families across our community.
