Growing up with a single mother, I know firsthand the challenges many students face every day. Too many kids are navigating the same struggles I did-but having a network of support and caring adults helped me see the brighter side and believe in my potential. That's why I'm passionate about the mission and serving on the Board of Directors for Communities In Schools of South Carolina (CISSC).

With a CIS site coordinator in schools, students have someone checking in on them, helping with attendance, asking about missing assignments, and connecting them with essentials like food and clothing. This consistent, caring support makes a real difference in keeping kids in school and on the path to success.

This Midlands Gives Day (May 6th), I'm setting a goal to raise $500 to help CISSC continue this critical work. Every donation helps keep these life-changing programs in our schools and communities.
