I am a board Member of this organization. The BRBR was started to honor my Father, Leon Irons, a Navy Veteran and restaurant entrepreneur. My Dad passed away in 2009, but our family wanted to carry on his deep respect for service (military and first responders) and his legacy of creating opportunities for people to grow and develop. hence we started the BRBR. Since 2014 we have helped thousands and introduced the idea of posttraumatic growth in SC. We work with the military and first responders to train them how to turn struggle into strength and thrive in the aftermath of trauma. The BRBR is the only nonprofit in SC to offer this transformative program that is changing lives! Last year, my family sold its restaurant operations. It more important than ever now to support the BRBR, so it lives on forever as a tribute to my Dad and continues to serve our military and veteran communities.
