Able SC is a nonprofit Center for Independent Living, led by people with disabilities for people with disabilities. Our mission is to empower individuals to live fully and independently, and everything we do is rooted in equity and inclusion. As a person with a disability, this work is personal. Here in the Upstate--especially in Greenville--and across the Midlands, I get to work directly with youth and young adults with disabilities, helping them access the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive. One of our core programs brings me into high schools, where I support students with disabilities as they prepare for life after high school--equipping, educating, and advocating. From 12 to 1 PM is our Power Hour! During this hour, your donations will be doubled! I’ve set a personal goal of raising $2,500 during that time. Every dollar helps us continue doing what we do best: fighting to ensure people with disabilities live with freedom and dignity.

We are an organization of people with disabilities leading the charge to: Equip people with disabilities with tools to foster pride and to direct their own lives; Educate the community to challenge stereotypes and eliminate barriers; and Advocate for access, equity, and inclusion at the individual, local, state, and national level.
