Fundraiser Story

Coach Kelly Craig, a beloved football coach and community figure, passed away suddenly at the age of 47, leaving behind a legacy of mentorship, dedication, and compassion. A former Griffin football player and S.C. State walk-on, Craig went on to coach high school football for years alongside longtime friend and head coach Reggie Kennedy, with whom he shared a deep bond both professionally and personally. Known for his tough love, unwavering support for students, and commitment to helping others, Craig returned to Fairfield Central to continue impacting young lives. Remembered as a brother, mentor, and advocate, Craig's memory lives on in the lives he touched, especially through his family, church, and the many players he inspired.

About the Organization

The Fairfield School District Education Foundation of Fairfield County, a 501c(3), understands that retaining and recruiting teachers in rural parts of our state and nation is a major need that requires innovative solutions. Our Foundation has therefore taken a major step in addressing this issue by building the first residential housing development for teachers in the state of South Carolina and one of the first in our nation. We plan to continue making this project a primary goal for 2024-25.
