Kindred Hearts is a community-based organization dedicated to assisting families who are raising children through kinship care. These are families formed not through traditional means but through necessity, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to love. Kinship caregiving often happens in the face of crisis—whether due to parental illness, substance abuse, incarceration, or death. In these moments, caregivers rise to the occasion, stepping in without hesitation to do what’s best for the child.

Kindred Hearts SC's mission is to ensure kinship caregivers (grandparents, aunts/uncles, older siblings, other family members or family friends) who are raising their kin's children have access to resources needed for the family to thrive.
