I began volunteering with Happy Wheels in 2016 and saw firsthand how this little nonprofit was making a BIG difference in the lives of sick children and their families. Each and every week, Happy Wheels rolls a cart filled with toys or books to every inpatient child at all three South Carolina Children's Hospitals. The giggles and excitement we get to share with them is truly beautiful to witness. For those few moments, they get to "just be a kid" and forget about their illness and why they are there.
