Fatherhood found me during a game of hide and seek with a one-year-old named Sal. After his dad, Greg, was killed in the line of duty, I stepped in to help his mom, Kassy. I didn’t expect to fall in love with Sal before I fell in love with her but I did. Today, I’m proud to call myself his dad. Our most recent addition to the family is Sal's brother Silas. Fatherhood is not just showing up, but leading with love. That’s exactly what Midlands Fatherhood Coalition does. They empower dads who are facing challenges do right by their kids. As a board member and Board Chair, I see firsthand how fatherhood strengthens families and builds safer communities. MFC’s impact is real, and the data backs it up.
