Trust cannot be forced. It has to be built.

For women and girls who have experienced trauma, adversity, or difficult life transitions, learning to feel safe, trust again, and recognize their own strength can take time. Horses meet them without judgment. They do not ask what happened or expect the right words. They respond to patience, clarity, consistency, and how we show up in the moment.

At Unbridled Wild Connections, participants take part in non-riding, freedom-based experiences with carefully prepared horses. In small groups, they practice recognizing their emotions and energy, communicating clearly, establishing healthy boundaries, and rebuilding connection when it is lost.

When a horse turns toward someone, takes a step closer, or chooses to follow, it cannot be demanded. It is a moment of genuine connection—and it can become a powerful reminder: I can be heard. I can build trust. I can connect in a new way.

Mustangs are at the heart of what makes our work different. Their resilience, sensitivity, and honesty make them powerful teachers. Gentled mustangs that are ready for safe interaction participate alongside our experienced domestic horses, while newly adopted mustangs receive the time and relationship-first training they need before they are ever considered for a program role.

We are raising $10,000 to launch our first programs for women and girls, including six-week small-group experiences, community clinics, and opportunities for individualized learning and support.

Your donation will help provide participant scholarships, program development and materials, qualified facilitation, safety resources, and the care and preparation of our equine partners.

Every gift helps create another opportunity for a woman or girl to find her voice, recognize her strength, and begin building a new path forward.
