The board doesn't usually write these appeals. Today, we wanted to.

We're an eclectic yet interconnected mix at this table. Artists and arts professionals. Authors and storytellers. LGBTQIA+ community leaders. A researcher who studies how change actually takes hold. We came to The Agape Table from different doors, but we've each stayed for the same reason: this work is the rare kind that does what it says it will do.

We've watched dinner dialogues shift a family. We've watched cohorts send people back into their churches and workplaces and friend groups with new eyes. We've watched Stories Telling Us hold a room of people who don't usually get held. We sit on this board because we believe in this work — we're encouraged because we've seen what your dollars become once they get here.

So today we're using our names, our networks, and our giving day to ask. Trust us, or trust the work — either way, give what you can. Help us keep the table set for every person South Carolina has yet to welcome and fully embrace!
