Amelia's Journey

I met Happy Wheels in March of 2023 while we were in the hospital after a terrible car accident. My twin daughters Amelia, Bailey and myself were hit after a driver ran a stop sign. Amelia and I were airlifted to Columbia, SC while Bailey was sent to the local hospital. Amelia suffered terrible injuries that could have ended her life. She was internally decapitated and I didn't know if she would be coming home with me. I have never felt so alone and scared waiting for them to try and get her stable. One morning I heard a knock on the door and it was the ladies with Happy Wheels. They were pushing a cart with all kinds of toys, books, dvds, games, etc. anything to make a child happy. They have something for all age groups and just seeing their bright faces and your child getting something to enjoy during their stay is amazing. Children are already so confused and scared to be in the hospital but to know that Happy Wheels tries to bring joy and brightness into their lives is wonderful!  They are a gift sent from God and we are forever thankful!
