Wonderful William Gives Back!

Our sweet William was the bravest little boy, time and time again, he proved the doctors wrong. We watched him face more battles than most parents could ever imagine. Through all the hardships, our little superhero still had the biggest smile and cutest laugh. William faced many illnesses and survived open heart surgery at 6 months old. We spent most of his life in the hospital fighting pulmonary hypertension and a rare lung disease. William passed away in September of 2023. Happy Wheels provided a little bit of normalcy for us and the children and families inside the children's hospital. Seeing the smiling faces of the Happy Wheels volunteers is the highlight of many families' week. It certainly was for our family. We will forever be thankful and continue to support Happy Wheels! Please join us in honoring William’s life by supporting this organization that brightens days in the children’s hospital. 

One day, each week throughout the year, Happy Wheels volunteers make rounds to each inpatient room with a decorated surgical cart filled with brand new books and toys. Happy Wheels visits approximately 400 children weekly at all 3 children's hospitals in South Carolina. Each child gets to pick out one toy/book of their choice every week for the duration of their admission. They get to keep the gifts and take them home!
