Pat's Birthday Wish for Happy Wheels!

I have been volunteer with Happy Wheels for 8 years! What a joy it is to see the faces of children and their parents when I step into their hospital room and let them pick whatever item they want off of our cart! I started doing this because of our friend who had a child at the hospital and the joy it gave them. Happy Wheels also visited my great-grandson and it was an experience that my granddaughter still talks about to this day! Please join me in supporting this wonderful organization that serves brand new toys and books to so many children right here in our own community each week!

One day, each week throughout the year, Happy Wheels volunteers make rounds to each inpatient room with a decorated surgical cart filled with brand new books and toys. Happy Wheels visits approximately 400 children weekly at all 3 children's hospitals in South Carolina. Each child gets to pick out one toy/book of their choice every week for the duration of their admission. They get to keep the gifts and take them home!
