Support Happy Wheels for Kids Like Katie!

Happy Wheels is exactly that...happiness on wheels! A gift for a sick child with zero strings attached-it does not have to be "earned" for being brave or cooperative or even polite. There's just something really special about "shopping" from the Happy Wheels cart and choosing your own item!

Our daughter Katie was diagnosed with Leukemia at age 13. Her chemotherapy treatment lasted 27 months and she was hospitalized many many times. Even when she felt too sick to hang out with friends or play games, or to enjoy music therapy or dog therapy, Katie NEVER turned down a visit from Happy Wheels! She especially loved the books that could take her anywhere-away from that hospital room and from cancer.

For 11 years it has been my joy to volunteer with Happy Wheels because this charity means so much to our family. Please help us continue to serve hospitalized children and families all over South Carolina!

One day, each week throughout the year, Happy Wheels volunteers make rounds to each inpatient room with a decorated surgical cart filled with brand new books and toys. Happy Wheels visits approximately 400 children weekly at all 3 children's hospitals in South Carolina. Each child gets to pick out one toy/book of their choice every week for the duration of their admission. They get to keep the gifts and take them home!
