South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families

A nonprofit organization

Our mission is to provide the means for fathers to become great dads.

Since our founding by the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina in 2002, we have helped over 35,000 fathers and their children through our programs and services.

In 2024, we served more than 3,000 fathers and their families across the state. Our free educational programs cover a range of topics for fathers, including parenting, healthy relationships, economic mobility, physical and mental health, and housing. For teenage boys, we offer a preparatory program called Ready4Life, which educates them about the realities of preparing for adulthood, including the responsibilities of fatherhood. Additionally, we provide a Jobs Boot Camp for men seeking employment or better-paying job opportunities. We also support men in navigating challenges related to child support, visitation issues, paternity questions, and custody obstacles.

The South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families (SCCFF) serves all 46 counties in South Carolina, operating 15 full-service offices and outreach programs in every other county. We oversee five regional fatherhood organizations to provide funding, programming, training, and technical assistance.

Testimonials

Marvin is a veteran from the Upstate who did not have custody of his son. His life changed forever when the Department of Social Services informed him that his son was being placed into the system. He knew he needed to be there for his son and the Upstate Fatherhood Coalition stepped in to help, offering Marvin services that would reconnect him with his son and provide the resources he needed to become a better dad.
