Liberation is Lit

Liberation is Lit is a bookstore that aims to spark collective action for liberation and community building among readers and book lovers by promoting stories from intersectional experiences.

The Liberation Fund, through Liberation is Lit, was created to provide free books and resources to people in the community. To date, we have given away over 400 free books to the community, brought in three authors for our LibeRATED YA book club, hosted a poetry prize for survivors of interpersonal violence, and collected over 40 new books to provide to people who are incarcerated.

We are looking to expand our reach with a bookmobile! We are hoping to raise $25,000 to buy a van and convert it into a bookmobile to take our books into the community. If you love books and access to literacy, please consider donating to make our dream come true!
