SC Thrive helps South Carolinians get the support they need to stay healthy, stable, and secure. Many people qualify for help with food, health care, and other basic needs but face barriers like confusing systems, language differences, or not knowing where to start. Your donation helps remove those barriers.

Since 2010, SC Thrive and our partners have helped bring more than $1.7 billion in benefits and resources to over 874,000 South Carolinians, creating lasting impact for families and communities across the state.

How your donation makes a difference

Contact Center
Your gift supports SC Thrive’s Contact Center, where compassionate Benefits Counselors help people apply for Medicaid, SNAP, Welvista, Long-Term Care, and other essential benefits in one call. This service makes help accessible to anyone, no matter where they live or what barriers they face. In 2025, our team answered 129,099 calls, providing guidance, dignity, and hope to people reaching out for support.

Equipping the Community Through Thrive Hub
Your donation helps fund and sustain Thrive Hub, a statewide platform used by nonprofits and community organizations to make benefits easier to access. Contributions support ongoing system updates and improvements that ensure the platform remains reliable, effective, and responsive to community needs. By investing in Thrive Hub, you are helping organizations across South Carolina connect people applying for assistance to multiple resources in one place, reducing confusion and strengthening the support available to families statewide.

Outreach
Many people do not know help is available. SC Thrive’s Outreach efforts bring information directly into communities through trusted partners, events, and collaborations. Your support helps ensure families know where to turn and that local nonprofits have the tools they need to reach those who might otherwise be left behind.

Training
SC Thrive trains nonprofits, agencies, and professionals across South Carolina so they can better support the people they serve. From benefits education to immersive Poverty Simulation experiences, your donation helps build understanding, empathy, and stronger systems of care that reach far beyond a single organization.

Food Farmacy
Food Farmacy improves health by increasing access to fresh food and nutrition education. Through partnerships with local farms, churches, and healthcare providers, this program supports families while restoring dignity and strengthening community connections. Your gift helps turn healthy food into healthier lives.
