I am Dr. Regina (Wragg) Ciphrah,a current member of the African American Philanthropy Committee at Central Carolina Community Foundation, and I am supporting Dianne's Call through Midlands Gives because this work sits at the intersection of health, culture, and opportunity.
Through Farmasis and youth agricultural experiences, they are not just teaching gardening; they are cultivating awareness, ownership, and pathways into agribusiness for the next generation. This matters.
When young people understand where food comes from, how systems work, and how they can participate economically, we shift from access to agency.
Dianne’s Call is already doing the work by providing education, hands on experiences, and access to fresh food in communities that have historically been underserved.
Supporting this effort means investing in healthier communities, stronger local economies, and future leaders who see agriculture not as labor, but as legacy, innovation, and enterprise.
