I’m proud to serve as a board member of the Ernest A. Finney, Jr. Cultural Arts Center—an emerging space dedicated to preserving, amplifying, and evolving Black art and culture right here in Columbia.

The Finney Center is more than a building. It’s a gathering place where creativity, history, and community meet. From music and visual art to storytelling, food, and conversation, this space exists to nurture expression and keep our cultural legacy alive while creating room for new voices to emerge.

Housed in a repurposed historic warehouse in the Waverly District, the Center stands as a symbol of transformation—honoring the past while actively building toward a more connected and creative future.
