Dylan Silva’s I Give Catholic Fundraiser

St. Thomas More has shaped who I am body and soul. From the moment I walked in as a nervous freshman, STM welcomed me, and it hasn't stopped forming me since. Now, as a junior, I want to give back to the community that gave me so much. I've been blessed to grow through a bible study since my freshman year (I actually live with my freshman year bible study leader now), and I'm now working toward leading one of my own. I'm hoping to help form the next generation of disciples the way I was formed.

I've attended hundreds of STM events made possible by the generosity of our benefactors: Retreats, Wednesday Night Campus Ministry, Sunday Supper and Semi-formal, to name a few. But that same generosity also keeps the lights on behind the scenes, covering everything from utility bills to the countless small costs that make this community run. As a freshman, thanks to our gracious benefactors, I was able to attend the SEEK conference in Salt Lake City, Utah for free. There, I witnessed the Church and Her people in a way I'll never forget — and I've chased that same joy every year since. Our benefactors don't just fund events and help keep the lights on, they are giving a freedom to students to grow in their faith without financial worry standing in the way. And when that worry disappears, something beautiful happens: the Gifts of the Spirit take root and bear fruit.
