I joined the board of The FriendShip last summer, and I love it! A local nonprofit organization that utilizes dedicated volunteers to help older adults who are living at home to maintain independent, healthy, and fulfilling lifestyles....with a little help from The FriendShip.
I first heard about The FriendShip from a friend who volunteers regularly, taking members to medical appointments, on shopping errands, and to the many social activities The FriendShip offers its members. She sung its praises. When the board chair invited me to serve, I was thrilled to have the opportunity.
Please join me in supporting this wonderful local nonprofit financially - every little bit helps. Midlands Gives is The FriendShip's biggest fundraiser, and this year, The FriendShip is working to raise $28,000. I have set a personal goal of $1,500.
