South Carolina State Museum Foundation

The mission of the South Carolina State Museum Foundation is to support and promote the purposes of the South Carolina State Museum. Through partnerships, comprehensive collections, exhibits and programs, the State Museum provides educational environments that enrich the lives of visitors.

Since opening in 1988, the South Carolina State Museum has welcomed generations of guests from across South Carolina and beyond. The museum serves as a caretaker of the state's collections in art, history, natural history, and science and technology and is dedicated to sharing the stories of South Carolina through partnerships across the state.
