Richland First Steps is a nonprofit organization that serves as a true partner through its commitment to building relationships and its proven services, including no-cost child care for families who are working or in school full time who qualify, in-home parent coaching programs that help families thrive, and ongoing coaching, assessments and materials grants to child care centers in Richland County.

Testimonials

Little Corey Jr. is a bouncing bundle of joy! But his journey hasn't been without challenges. "He was born prematurely, and we were always told he would be behind," recalls his mother, Daquisha. "Richland First Steps has helped prove this theory wrong!" At just one year old, Corey Jr. is already learning to read, identifying numbers and letters, and even expressing emotions!
Twelve years earlier, Daquisha enrolled her then 2-year-old daughter in our no-cost home-based program, where she received one-on-one instruction and participated in playgroups that built her social skills. With your support, we can continue transforming the lives of more children and families in Richland County.
