Central Carolina Community Foundation believes in being clear about how the Midlands Gives platform works for both donors and nonprofits. The following information explains the fees associated with participating in and giving through the Midlands Gives website.

For Nonprofits

Nonprofits participate in Midlands Gives through a $10 annual participation fee, paid at the time of registration. This fee helps support platform administration, nonprofit onboarding, and ongoing support.

For Donors and Donations

Midlands Gives is a year-round giving platform that supports local nonprofits across the Midlands. To maintain the platform and ensure secure and reliable giving, each donation includes:

• A 2.7% platform fee on all online gifts

• A 2.3% + $.30 per transaction credit card processing fee

• A 1.1% plus $1.50 per transaction fee will replace the credit card processing fee on all ACH donations. ACH fees are capped at $5.00 per transaction.

These fees help cover technology costs, payment processing, security, and continued improvements to the giving experience for donors and nonprofits.

In 2025, donors covered the fees on approximately 86% of all donations made through Midlands Gives, helping nonprofits receive more of each gift.
