Workshop Theatre of SC

Our mission is to provide theatre of the highest quality for audiences of all ages. Workshop Theatre shall serve as a creative outlet for all its participants, including its audiences both present and future, its various directors, actors, designers, playwrights and technicians. Workshop Theatre is committed to training in theatre arts, both formally in an education program and informally through production experience. Workshop expects to challenge as well as satisfy its varied audiences.

Workshop Theatre is excited to share that we have will be partnering with Columbia College. Funding from Midlands Gives would go to helping with up-fitting our new performance space to benefit both the large patron base that supports community theatre, as well as providing a creative outlet for the actors in Columbia who provide the talent base for high quality community theatre productions. Workshop produces 5-7 shows a year, including a children's production in the summer. Beginning with the 2023-24 Season, Workshop will be able to return to a normal full slate of performances, as well as allow for expanded opportunities for shows including charity events, smaller black box shows, and other opportunities for child actors from the acting school to perform.
