Toby's Place, Oliver Gospel's center for women and children, serves women experiencing homelessness by providing life-changing resources to help guests discover and overcome their relational, emotional, physical, and vocational challenges 365 days a year.
We connect women to a loving community of staff and residents, teach classes on life-skills, spiritual development, and career readiness, and provide guidance as they heal and grow. Once a resident has completed program curriculum, they are provided assistance in finding jobs and reliable housing situations.
Our facility is equipped with 50 beds and various recreational rooms, including a wellness center, computer lab, classrooms, laundry facility, counseling rooms, a play therapy center, and a dining area.
Through both our 30-day Pre-Program and our long-term transitional program, women and children are given the strength they need to overcome trauma and become stewards of their community.
Marra fled abuse at 16, becoming homeless and addicted. After giving birth, she relapsed, and social services intervened. Determined to change, she entered recovery and joined Toby's Place, where counseling and life-skills classes helped her heal. She found faith, secured a job, and earned her GED. Now, she lives independently and plans to become a CNA.
Aubrey became homeless at 16, and addiction worsened after childbirth. Facing the loss of her son, she sought help, completed recovery, and joined Toby's Place. There, she gained stability, work skills, and a supportive community. Baptized and employed, she is saving for housing and hopes to earn a degree.
