The Free Medical Clinic

To provide high quality health care and medications, at no cost, to residents of the community who cannot pay for such services and who have no health insurance.

The Free Medical Clinic provides primary care, specialty care, and medications to persons who are uninsured and whose household income is at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level. T All services are provided at no cost to the patient. By providing these services, the Clinic has a positive impact on the population health of the Midlands region and beyond.

In 2024, we provided care to 1,518 patients through 3,699 primary and specialty care visits. Our pharmacy dispensed 11,234 prescriptions, with a wholesale value of over $900,00. We maintain partnerships to provide care and resources that are beyond our current scope. Care is provided to the unhoused through partnerships with Oliver Gospel Mission, MIRCI, and Transitions. We partner with the local hospital systems to help our patients gain access to imaging, labs, and other specialty care. The majority of our patients have a chronic condition, such as diabetes, hypertension, and COPD, that requires extensive management and treatment. Through our services, they are able to obtain that treatment for free, which then allows them to increase employability, take care of their families, and enjoy a better quality of life.
