The Free Medical Clinic

Every day, people in our community are forced to choose between paying for groceries, rent, or seeing a doctor. At The Free Medical Clinic, we make sure no one has to make that choice.

We provide high-quality medical care, specialty services, and access to medications and other resources—completely free of charge—to uninsured adults who otherwise could not afford it. These are your neighbors: hardworking individuals, parents, and caregivers who simply don’t have access to health insurance.

In 2025 alone, we cared for nearly 1,000 patients through over 2,500 visits. Through our partnership with Welvista, our patients are able to access the medications they need—at no cost—ensuring they can properly manage chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and asthma. For many, this access is lifesaving.

But this work goes beyond the walls of our Clinic. We partner with local organizations like Oliver Gospel Mission and MIRCI to reach unhoused individuals. We also work closely with local hospital systems to connect patients to imaging, lab work, and specialty care they otherwise couldn’t access. Through a growing partnership with Lutheran Services, we are also proud to provide care to newly arrived refugees as they begin building their lives in our community.

When patients receive consistent care, everything changes. They are healthier. They can keep their jobs. They can care for their families. They regain stability, dignity, and hope.

Thanks to generous supporters, every dollar you give can be amplified. We have secured $30,000 in matching funds—including $25,000 from the McNeish Family Fund and $5,000 from our Clinic Board of Directors—meaning your donation can have twice the impact. In addition, we are grateful for a $20,000 gift from The Cheerful Giver Fund of Central Carolina Community Foundation, helping us build even greater momentum for patient care.
