Sumter Green, established in 1996, is a non-profit organization that stimulates and promotes knowledge and appreciation of the beautification of Sumter and its entryways. Sumter Green's sole mission is to beautify while actively engaging in efforts involving funding, maintenance, and permitting of public areas for beautification.

Because of dedicated green partners and their generosity, Sumter Green continues to assist the city and county with numerous beautification efforts to include welcome entryways, gateways, major corridors, and greenways. Our appearance, environmental growth, and the visitors' first impression for tourism, military, industrial to retiree recruitment are only a few examples where a green commitment continues to impact the greater good for Sumter city and county.
