Kershaw County Humane Society

The Kershaw County Humane Society is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping the lost and unwanted animals in our county. Our primary goals are to increase the adoption rate of the animals brought to our facility and working to solve pet over-population.

We are an animal shelter based in Camden, SC. We strive to rehome the lost an neglected animals in our county. In 2024 we hope to expand our services to increase the number of vaccine clinics we offer to the public as well as low cost spay/neuter programs as we believe that is the only way to stop the overcrowding of our rescues and shelters, not only in South Carolina but nationwide.

Bonded from the beginning, Piper and Lincoln struggled to find a fur ever home where they could live happily ever after together. Their outcome at the Kershaw County Humane Society was not looking good and Lincoln started to become aggressive protecting his beloved Piper. A local veterinarian from Virginia heard the story of these two inseparable angels and knew she had to come meet them. It was truly meant to be, as Lincoln and Piper are living their best life snuggling together by the fire!
