Nearly everyone agrees on the value of education. But why is it a basic human good? And what is its ultimate goal? Our universities can no longer give confident or coherent answers. Meanwhile, dehumanizing ideologies are filling the void, learning is being instrumentalized for shallow ends, and important questions surrounding God and faith are belittled. The time is ripe for serious Christian thought to offer a better way and make a real difference.
The South Carolina Study Center is a hub of Christian community, hospitality, and learning at USC. Located right next to campus, it stands as a witness to a forgotten truth: Christ alone is the true light who gives light to everyone.
