The Salvation Army of the Midlands summer camp program sponsors children to attend camp each summer at Camp Walter Johnson overnight camp in Denton, North Carolina.

Many underprivileged children in the Midlands rarely make it out of their ZIP code and would not ordinarily have the opportunity to attend summer camp out of state.
