The Ram Foundation remains authentic and innovative with its goals and purposes. To facilitate community change and development, we target youth - ages 4 yrs. to 17 yrs. - who live in low income/low wealth areas of Richland County. Ongoing efforts are geared towards enhancing the quality of life of the individual, family, and ultimately the community as a whole by actively engaging youth and keeping them occupied in activities designed to encourage them to be productive residents and valued members of society. Our anchor summer program is rooted in best practices derived from research and experience and implemented consistently with high fidelity.
The Ram Foundation offers three pillars to ensure success:
1. A safe haven for children during the summer months because too many children are left at home alone without proper food and/or supervision. The children receive breakfast and lunch respectively daily. The rationale for this component is to give the students a place to find comfort, support, and safety.
"This experience was top-notch as a parent. Communication was on-point and I always felt in the loop. I wouldn't change a thing."
"My son enjoyed this camp more than I could've ever imagined. I don't think he would change anything about his experience."
"My children were first time campers, and I couldn't have chosen a better camp."
"I think it's great. Emails are sent weekly. The staff is very warm and friendly and if you have any worries about your children the staff does a great job of watching over them as well as advising you of any concerns."
"The entire program was marvelous and rewarding for my granddaughter!"
"Great camp! Thanks for all that you do for our community."
