Palmetto Wildlife Rescue & Rehab

Palmetto Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation of S.C (PWRR) is composed of volunteers who are committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of orphaned, ill, and injured wildlife native to the state of South Carolina. We also work to educate our communities on how to coexist with native wildlife as humans steadily encroach on their habitat. We consider our group a family who not only learns from each other, but also leans on each other during difficult times.

Human habitats continue to expand across the midlands as wildlife natural habitats are demolished. PWRR was established to meet the ever growing demand for more wildlife rehabilitators across the state of S.C. Many humans fear what they don't know, so not only do our rehabbers rescue, rehabilitate and release the animals in their care, but they also advocate for more peaceful coexistence between man and beast. We travel the state with our ambassador animals teaching children and adults alike how personable each species can be and how to have them humanely and safely removed from attics, chicken coops, horse barns, or to just peacefully coexist, knowing these animals are not actually a threat by existing. We enjoy sharing our love for these animals with our community and seeing this love and respect grow in the eyes of our neighbors who just recently showed fear and hatred for these amazing creatures.
