To provide resources, opportunities, and supportive relationships necessary for children to live healthy and honorable lives. Each year, 15-20 children aged 8-12 years old are selected to be a part of our year long mentorship program at Original Design. Along with having a 1on1 mentor, each camper is taught about many skills relating to diet, exercise, hygiene, budgeting, generosity, and many other life skills. Our main values revolve around Faith, Sports and Health.
Our Mentorship Program is based upon building relationships, having fun, creating an environment where children can be inspired, and our campers knowing their Original Design as God's beloved child. We hosted full day camps in April, July, and December, while also going to a fireflies baseball game in April, a Gamecock football game in September, a Thanksgiving event in November, a Trunk or Treat in October and a Christmas Camp to end out the year. The camps are filled with a variety of experiences and learning activities for our campers. Our campers had fun by engaging in different forms of physical activity (all kinds of sports, games, and leadership development activities). Along with having fun, each camp we focused on teaching a specific skill session and then providing the campers with resources to practice what they have learned.
