Columbia Film Society

A nonprofit organization

Serving the Midlands region of South Carolina, the Nickelodeon seeks to build a stronger, more inclusive, and more equitable community through film presentations that both entertain and provoke critical dialogue. The Nickelodeon provides community members with the tools to interpret, appreciate, teach, and produce the moving image in all its variety through theatrical and educational programs.

The Columbia Film Society provides the tools to make, interpret, enjoy and appreciate filmmaking through our two-screen theater. The Nick offers a mix of first run films, special screenings on topics of interest to the community and popular series that feature foreign films, documentaries, family films, Black stories and LGBTQ films. Special screenings are followed by 'talk-backs" that allow patrons to interact with panelists on the film topics or filmmaking.
