Family Health Centers is a federally funded community health center serving the medically underserved residents of Orangeburg, Bamberg, Calhoun and Upper Dorchester counties in South Carolina. FHC was organized in order to provide high quality, comprehensive health care for the medically underserved. Family Health Centers is accredited by The Joint Commission and is also Patient Centered Medical Home certified (PCMH) which is a team-based health care model designed to improve health outcomes.

The organization has grown from one health center which is the main site in Orangeburg to a comprehensive primary care network with sites in Bamberg, Neeses, Denmark, St. George, Vance, and St. Matthews along with fully equipped medical mobile units concentrating on dental and optometry care.

FHC service offerings include adult medicine, family medicine, podiatry, vision, dental, medication therapy, OB/GYN, pediatrics, behavioral health, nutrition, telemedicine, pharmacy, laboratory, x-ray, hypertension management program, chronic care management, annual wellness visit, pain management, and migrant farm worker program.
