At Central South Carolina Habitat for Humanity, future homeowners partner in the process by helping build their homes, completing financial education and purchasing with an affordable mortgage. Through that journey, they build credit, strengthen their financial foundation and invest in a future they can sustain.

Since 1985, Central South Carolina Habitat for Humanity has built 291 homes, celebrated 111 homeowners who have paid off their mortgages and engaged thousands of volunteers in this mission.

Where Hope Becomes Home

For Sierra, homeownership represents independence and a safe foundation for her future. 

“I will no longer need to rely on others for simple things,” she said. “I am most looking forward to having a safe place for my dog and me, and possibly family one day.” 

For Ra’Shawn, the home provides security for his children and space to build the life he envisions. 

“I want to have a place where my kids and I can feel safe and secure, and where we can all be together comfortably,” he said. “I am most looking forward to having property and being able to do the things I want, like building a Koi pond!”
