The mission of Ly-Ben Dance Alliance is to provide access to quality dance education while fostering cultural enrichment, community development, and a deep commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and unity. Through our programs and initiatives, we aim to inspire, educate, and empower individuals to grow artistically and personally while building a stronger, more connected community.

Ly-Ben Dance Alliance has made a profound impact on the community by providing high-quality dance education to over 50,000 students, many of whom have gone on to successful careers in law, medicine, education, and beyond. Our training instills discipline, confidence, and a sense of cultural pride. Through initiatives like the Community Dance Project (CDP) we create opportunities for artistic growth while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our programs celebrate cultural heritage, particularly African and African American dance traditions, fostering unity and understanding. Our Ly-Ben Summer Arts and Academics Camp expands access to arts and education for youth, blending creativity with academic enrichment to address learning loss experienced during COVID-19. The Ubuntu Dance Festival brings together statewide companies and schools, strengthening the dance community while promoting collaboration and excellence. Ly-Ben actively combats bias and racism through dance education, ensuring all participants feel valued and empowered. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we continue to uplift and serve, ensuring that dance reaches and empowers those who need it most.
