Landrum Washington Legacy Scholarship Fund, Inc

The Landrum Washington Legacy Fund is dedicated to fostering educational excellence by offering scholarships to college-bound seniors who possess exceptional talents and abilities, with at least a 2.5 GPA. This program aims to empower deserving students to reach their full potential and follow their aspirations.

We are dedicated to increasing the number of scholarships available to high school graduates and supporting our organization's operational needs. The funds raised through Midlands Gives will play a vital role in helping us achieve this mission. Our organization was founded in memory of Minister Landrum E. Washington, who tragically lost his life in a car accident on May 8, 2007. We honor his legacy by offering scholarships to deserving students and other educational opportunities.

We have awarded over 75 scholarships to high school seniors and established an endowed memorial scholarship fund in Minister Washington's name at his Alma Mater, Benedict College. This fund supports students pursuing degrees in Music or Religion, and applications are available annually.
