HERO Homeschool Group

We are a community of home educators who promote inclusivity and foster diversity. We provide unique programs tailored to the needs of our families emphasizing STEAM education, incorporating science, technology, engineering, arts, music, and mathematics while promoting green education, sustainability, and community service. Through holistic approaches and cooperative effort, we strive to inspire self-confidence and a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.

We provide classes for students ages 2-18 and are entirely volunteer-run. Parents remain onsite and remain involved at all times. We work together to assess the needs of our members each semester and create a class schedule based on those needs coupled with instructional offerings from our teacher volunteers. We focus on education as a whole and strive for student-led learning. We provide a safe and caring environment for students to learn at their own pace, choose classes that fit their needs, and experience the flexibility that is homeschooling. We put a heavy focus on programs that are unique to the homeschooling community and/or require a brick-and-mortar space such as our Greensteps program, chemistry labs, STEM labs, drama, and PE.
