Growing Home Southeast, Inc.

The mission of Growing Home Southeast is to enable at risk children, youth, and families to realize their potential and contribute to their communities. Our focus is to ensure a safe, stable, and permanent place to live for every child and family we serve.

Growing Home Southeast provides an array of services designed to support and strengthen youth and families. Each year, Growing Home southeast serves more than 2000 young people and their families with a goal of ensuring that all young people we serve have a safe and permanent place to live. We provide traditional foster care, treatment foster care, and foster care services for youth with medically fragile conditions. Growing Home Southeast also provides in-home and community based behavioral health services, the evidenced based Strengthening Families Program, and is the provider of the Wendy's Wonderful Kids adoption program for South Carolina. Additionally, we operate a 20 unit transitional living apartment complex, Leaphart Place, for young adults who have aged out of foster care, are homeless, or at risk of being homeless.

CM's Leaphart Place Story

When "CM" moved to Leaphart Place, she was very shy and although it was explained to her during the interview process, that she had to obtain employment when she moved to Leaphart Place, she had a very hard time, due to high anxiety. But, she never gave up & neither did we. She worked with her counselor as well as the property manager to find a job that fit her needs.

Within a few short months, she was able to become employed at a local assisted living facility doing
