Since 1977, DRSC has protected and advocated for the rights of people with disabilities in South Carolina. DRSC core services include legal representation, information and referral, training, abuse and neglect investigations, and advocacy for policy change.

1496 people received information and referral services.

153 people received legal assistance.

91 people received short-term assistance.

92 people received self-advocacy assistance.

66 investigations into complaints of serious abuse and neglect were conducted.
