Curing Kids Cancer

A nonprofit organization

Curing Kids Cancer's mission is to fund innovative research and treatment to find cures for all childhood cancers in our lifetime.

Curing Kids Cancer is a national nonprofit dedicated to funding cutting-edge research and innovative treatments for pediatric cancers. Founded in 2005 by Grainne and Clay Owen after losing their son Killian to leukemia, the organization has one clear mission: to find cures for childhood cancers in our lifetime. By partnering with leading hospitals, research institutions, and cancer centers, Curing Kids Cancer accelerates the development of targeted therapies that are less toxic and more effective for children.

To date, the charity has raised $30 Million to fund clinical trials, advanced immunotherapy, and survivorship programs, ensuring children not only survive cancer but thrive beyond it. Through impactful fundraising events and generous donor support, Curing Kids Cancer empowers communities to join the fight against pediatric cancer-turning grief into action and hope into healing.

Every dollar makes a difference. Every child deserves a cure. Support Curing Kids Cancer and the research and treatments the organization funds at Prisma Health Children's Hospital-Midlands.

Testimonials

"We are so thrilled to be able to say that we are funding research that actually goes to helping to save lives. We want all of those amazing, innovative drugs to be available here to children in South Carolina, and that's why we're doing what we're doing." - Grainne Owen, Founder and President, Curing Kids Cancer

"Curing Kids Cancer's involvement [with innovative] childhood cancer research is crucial, because so little government funding goes to pediatric cancer research." - Dr. Eric Schafer, Texas Children's Cancer Center
