Columbia Children's Theatre

Inspired by the intelligence and emotional wisdom of young people, we create professional theatre for youth and families, foster inclusive community, and nurture meaningful learning through the arts.

As the only theatre in South Carolina solely producing theatre both by and for young people, CCT has served thousands of families and young performers over the last 17 years. The organization's programming includes both a Mainstage company of professional adult actors creating theatre for children and families, as well as a robust YouTheatre performance series presented by youth in grades 1-12. CCT also offers a vast array of classes and camps for youth ages 3-18, school residences, and an active roster of touring productions.

In 2022 people took notice! Last year the SC Theatre Association recognized CCT for this work by naming it the 2022 Theatre of Distinction. Artistic Associate Julian Deleon was recognized as Free Times 2022 performer of the year. With your support, we can celebrate even more successes in 2023!
